Carol Jane Stuckey, age 77, of Honey Creek, Iowa passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Carol was born May 26, 1936 in Paxton, Nebraska to Gailen and Edna (Smith) O’Donnell. Carol graduated from Sutherland high school, and then moved to Omaha to go to Airline school. Carol got a job in Kansas City, Missouri, where she met Bill, whom she married October 5, 1957. They had their first child in Kansas City, Missouri and then moved to California, where the rest of the children were born. Carol, being a farm girl, wanted to get back to the Midwest so they did in 1967. Together with her husband, they started a school in Omaha. Then in 1975 they moved to their present home in Honey Creek, Iowa. Where she loved to garden, watching birds, and bouncing her grandbabies on her knees. Carol loved to travel and her and Bill took off each winter for warmer weather. Carol is preceded in death by parents Gailen and Edna O’Donnell. Survivors include her husband: William of Honey Creek, Iowa, daughters: Sandra Reinken of Honey Creek, Iowa, and special friend Matt Boren; Dianne Martin and husband Tom of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sons: Mark Stuckey and wife Kelly of Crescent, Iowa; William Stuckey of Newton, Iowa; son: Umberto Pepe-Zazatti of Venezuela; grandchildren: Christopher Reinken, Jean Marie Martin, Tommy Guy Martin II, Danny Ray Martin II, Erin Stuckey, Allison Stuckey, Austin Stuckey, Megan Stuckey and Robert Stuckey; brother: Dean O’Donnell and wife Betty of Sutherland, Nebraska; brother-in-law: Robert Stuckey and wife Tedra of Sun City Center, Florida; nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
