Caroline Marie Lindquist, 92, of Omaha, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2020.
Caroline Lindquist was born on October 12, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Victor and Rose (Szalewski) Sandau.
Caroline graduated from Benson High School in 1946.
She was a member of the parish of St. James Catholic Church in Omaha for over 50 years.
Caroline raised seven children, while working from home for many years as a solicitor for donations to the Disabled American Veterans. She completed business school in accounting and worked for Northwestern Bell until she retired from U.S West.
Caroline loved to travel and to go out dancing. She was an avid Water Walker, driving daily to the YMCA to be there when the pool opened, accumulating many miles over more than 20 years.
She is survived by her children: Michael Pitzel, Pat Pitzel-Fitch, Karen (Gary) Connell, Mark Pitzel, Diane Pitzel, Julie (Bob Mann) Pitzel, and Vicki Pitzel; eight grandchildren: Brian and Kevin Fitch, Ryan Kronschnabel, Joel, Ben and Gabe Pitzel, Evan and Katherine Connell; and three great-grandchildren: Madailein Fitch, Grace Pitzel and Michael Kronschnabel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Rose Sandau; brother, Raymond (Nadine) Sandau; and sister, Helen (Ron) Upshaw.
MEMORIAL MASS: Monday October 12th, 10am, at St. James Catholic Church (4710 N 90th St.) with family receiving friends and family from 9:30am to 10:00am. INTERMENT: Calvary Cemetery with a Reception Luncheon to follow at St. James Social Hall.
The Rev. Zach Tucker will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
