Carolyn Jane Lodhia

LODHIA, Carolyn Jane Jan 14, 1945 – Apr 24, 2014 Carolyn was born in Diller, Nebraska, to William and Hulda Roelfs. She lived on their farm, attended primary school in Diller and graduated from Plymouth High School. She married Kanchan Lodhia in Plymouth, Nebraska, in 1968 and worked briefly as a nurse in Omaha before and after her marriage. Carolyn, her husband and two children lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, from 1972 to 1995, when they moved to Lawton, Oklahoma. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She had an abiding faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and died on April 24, 2014, 2014, surrounded by her family after a struggle with lymphoma. She is survived by her husband, Kanchan Lodhia, MD; son, Keith Lodhia, MD (Heidi) of Omaha; grandchildren: Megan, Katie and Tom; daughter, Karen Lodhia of Omaha; brother, Harold Roelfs (Norma) of Diller; numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren Roelfs and Dr. Richard Roelfs; and sister, Esther Roelfs Heckman. MEMORIAL SERVICE and Reception Thursday, May 1st at 12noon at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 90th and Blondo. Private interment, Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Omaha. A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Lawton, Oklahoma, at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014.
