Carolyn M. Sampson

September 17, 1935 – November 19, 2022

Carolyn M. Sampson died on November 19, 2022, at the age of 87.  She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, the oldest daughter of George and Gertrude Johnson.  Carolyn graduated from North High School.  In 1957, she married Dick Sampson at Blessed Sacrament Church in Omaha and they remained happily married for 55 years.  Together, Carolyn and Dick welcomed guests throughout the year to their homes in Omaha, Naples, and Okoboji.  Carolyn loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents, George and Gertrude; brother, Mike Johnson; sister, Jean Johnson.  Carolyn is survived by her sons: Rick and John, both of Omaha, and Jim (Sarah Votta) of Denver, CO; daughters: Jennifer Johnson (Ken) of San Rafael, CA, Carla Dorpinghaus (Lynn), and Rebecca Johnson (Jeff), both of Omaha; sisters, Marie and Kathleen Johnson; sister-in-law, Sally Brady of Lincoln, NE; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Monday, Nov. 21^st from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, Nov. 22^nd at 10:30am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 1920 N. 102^nd St.  Entombment, Resurrection Mausoleum.  Memorials are suggested to St Pius X/ St Leo Tuition Assistance.
