CASPER, Peggy Wiedman

Peggy Wiedman Casper August 31, 1927 – August 24, 2015 Preceded in death by husband, Charles Alger; parents, A. C. and Artie Wiedman; brothers, Charles and Bill Wiedman. Survived by daughters: Diana Doyle (Robert), Brenda Petersen, and Nancy Powell; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Blake. She was a nationally recognized genealogist and author of two books on Terri Lee dolls. She retired from a career as a Federal court reporter. Family will accept visitors on Friday, August 28th, from 11am to 12noon at the West Center Chapel. Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Audubon Nebraska, 11700 SW 100th Street, P.O. Box 117, Denton, NE 68339.

    I am sorry for your family’s loss, which I learned of when I sent the note below to your newspaper:
    I am a relative of the plant engineer for the Terri Lee Doll Company’s operation in Apple Valley, California where it moved after the facility in Nebraska burned down. From documents that I have, and those that I have seen in your news publication, I believe that Peggy Weidman Casper, a dedicated historian of the Terri Lee dolls, lives/or lived in your area. My children call me a “sentimental hoarder” so as I release family mementoes, I thought I would check to see if she, or someone in her family, would like some of the later written history information. I don’t own any of the dolls and would like to give the documents to her, if she is interested.
