Peggy Wiedman Casper August 31, 1927 August 24, 2015 Preceded in death by husband, Charles Alger; parents, A. C. and Artie Wiedman; brothers, Charles and Bill Wiedman. Survived by daughters: Diana Doyle (Robert), Brenda Petersen, and Nancy Powell; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Blake. She was a nationally recognized genealogist and author of two books on Terri Lee dolls. She retired from a career as a Federal court reporter. Family will accept visitors on Friday, August 28th, from 11am to 12noon at the West Center Chapel. Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. I am sorry for your family’s loss, which I learned of when I sent the note below to your newspaper:
I am a relative of the plant engineer for the Terri Lee Doll Company’s operation in Apple Valley, California where it moved after the facility in Nebraska burned down. From documents that I have, and those that I have seen in your news publication, I believe that Peggy Weidman Casper, a dedicated historian of the Terri Lee dolls, lives/or lived in your area. My children call me a “sentimental hoarder” so as I release family mementoes, I thought I would check to see if she, or someone in her family, would like some of the later written history information. I don’t own any of the dolls and would like to give the documents to her, if she is interested.
