June 3, 1931 – May 24, 2018

Catherine “Cathy” Corp Crawford, age 86 years, died in Omaha, Nebraska on May 24, 2018. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.  A proud, life-long Nebraskan and husker fan, Cathy was born in Stromsburg in 1931. She grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949. Cathy attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. That same year she married her husband of 65 years, Bryce Crawford III. They made their home in Omaha and raised their four children.

Cathy was active in several Omaha charitable causes; most meaningful to her were her years of volunteer work with the Meyer Children’s Rehabilitation Institute (now Monroe Meyer Institute) and the Junior League of Omaha. Cathy is a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, an avid bridge player, and, along with her husband, is a founding member of the Presbyterian Church of the Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn (Lunner) and Lloyd Corp. She is survived by her loving husband, Bryce; children: Carol Crawford of Ames, IA, Nancy Sibbernsen (Mark), Cathy McNamara (Mike), and Scott Crawford; grandchildren: James Burrow (Codie), Daniel Burrow, Jake Sibbernsen (Stephanie), Sarah Beck (Ben), Betsey Sibbernsen, Marie McNamara, Hallie McNamara, Ryan McNamara; five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel.  SERVICES: Thursday, May 31st at 11am at Presbyterian Church of the Cross, 1517 S. 114th St.  Family Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Presbyterian Church of the Cross, Lauritzen Gardens, or a charity of your choice.

    Carol, I am so very sorry; losing a parent is so very hard, they have always been with you! But you have enjoyed your mom for many years longer than many of us, and i bet the memories are rich. A hug to you.
