Catherine G. Allen
May 16, 1927 – Feb 13, 2018
Born in Teaneck, New Jersey. Preceded in death by parents, Gerald and Catherine Giles Walsh, and husband of 42 years, Edwin M. Allen. Catherine graduated from Teaneck High School and attended Juilliard School of Music in New York City. She went on to attend Duchesne College (B.A. degree) and Creighton University. Edwin and Catherine were world travelers. Catherine was on the board of Morning Musicale, Omaha Symphony, Opera Omaha, Joslyn Chamber Music, University Women, and Duchesne Alumnae. She taught in Omaha schools and was a volunteer at Boys Town and Children’s Hospital. She was President of Eclectic Book Club, a member of Tuesday Readers and Liberty Readers, and a member of the choir at Lakeside Village.
VISITATION Thursday, Feb. 22nd beginning at 5pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL on Friday, Feb. 23rd at 10am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Robert Bellarmine Church or Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.

Cathy was such a classy LADY and had such a big heart. I will miss my dear friend. ❤️
Cathy was very important to some of my dearest family members. She knew who she was and paved a path for so many with her generosity.
