Charlene was born March 2nd, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska. She married Duane Stuvick in November 1954, and they lived in Council Bluffs where she was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown. She worked as a radiologist tech at Jennie Edmundson Hospital for many years. Charlene moved to Springfield Missouri in 1991 when she met and later married Bruce Stephenson. She remained in Missouri where she worked as an EKG tech at Cox Hospital. Charlene had many good friends and had many adventures with them. Her family was her greatest treasure and she worked very hard to make sure they had everything they needed. She will be greatly missed by many friends and all her family. Everyone she met loved her.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents (Charles) Tim Howard and Alice (Devine) Howard. Her brother Gary Howard and her sister Sharon (Dubby) Morford, and Duane Stuvick.
She is survived by her sister Joyce (Dave) McKallagatt, sister-in-law Barb Howard and her brother-in-law Steve Morford.

Charlene bravely fought Alzheimer’s disease for the last 7 years. Despite her brave fight, she slowly declined and continued to fight even during her decline. Although this horrible disease in the end won the battle she passed peacefully in her sleep. She is now surrounded with love by her many friends and family that have gone before her.

Suzie and family, Your family was always an intergral part of my life in Omaha back in the mid- 70’s. Your mom was so kind and could enjoy a good laugh! Especially at Suzie’s antics! May her memory be a blessing.
