Charles “Chuck” Hrabik

HRABIK, Charles “Chuck” Mar 20, 1932 – Oct 7, 2014 Entered eternal life surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Omaha. Chuck was a Marianist affiliate and Benedictine oblate with Mt. Michael. He was also an avid Nebraska football and NASCAR fan. He served his country with honor in the Korean War, returning to marry his wife, JoAnn. He was deeply loved by all who had the pleasure to know him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, JoAnn Hurley Hrabik; children: Patricia Bitzes (Mark), Barb Talmon (Steve), Marijo Schneiderwind (Stephen), Chuck Hrabik (Sherri), Mike Hrabik (Bev), and Kathy Hrabik-Smith (special friend, Jason Atkins); grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Nicholas (Crystal), Athena and Alexander Bitzes, Tiffany (Scott) and Sophia Polifka, Zachary (Lindsey), Zoe, Berkley, and Maddox Bitzes, Danielle (Andy) and Ella Jo Swanger, Michael Talmon, Jared Bitzes (Alaina), Kyle Schneiderwind (Ashley), Matthew (Amanda), Brecken and Kenley Talmon, Matt Fauglid, Evan Hrabik, Kaylene Hrabik, Blake Schneiderwind, Cami Smith, Alexa Schneiderwind, Emily Talmon, Jake Fauglid, and Ethan Smith; siblings: Jim Hrabik, Stan Hrabik (Lil), and Shirley Riha (Louis); brother-in-law, Bob Hurley (Sharon); many nieces and nephews. VISITATION begins Friday, October 10th at 11am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, followed by ROSARY at 11:30am and MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 12:30p.m, all at the church. Private Interment, St. John Cemetery in Bellevue with military rites by American Legion Post 331. Memorials are suggested to St. Bernadette Catholic Church or Daniel J. Gross Catholic High School. Nebraska or NASCAR attire is encouraged.
