Thinking of your whole family as you walk this new journey without wonderful, charming Charlie. He and Mary Ellen so graciously welcomed my son and his family to their neighborhood. He always looked out for them on a daily basis, Making sure their driveway was always cleared in the winter, new baby arrivals greeted and Christmas cheer from them too. We never worried about our family with Charlie next door. We will be forever grateful for his kindness.

Maryann and I send our condolences to the family and are deeply saddened at the loss of a great person, great mentor, and great role model. Dr. Krobot touched the lives of so many Students and Pharmacists alike. Always a positive attitude and Charlie smile.

My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Dr. Krobot will be fondly remembered by many students in NE beyond UNMC. He was one of our favorite teachers to inspire future students with his fun, hands on lessons in compounding at the former UNMC Youth Learning Center. His smile and sense of humor was infectious. The twinkle in his eye when he tasted his “medicine” (frosting and food coloring) always made the students laugh. He leaves a legacy of inspiring many new generations of Pharmacists through his ability to connect with students, and his kindness and caring.

So sorry for your loss. Charlie was a great person, pharmacist and mentor. I worked very closely with Charlie on a number of projects related to Pharmacy. One of the best accomplishments I have worked on was with Charlie when we decided to merge the Nebraska Society of Health-System Pharmacists with the current State organization known as the Nebraska Pharmacists Association (NPA). We also worked for many years on the NPA’s Legislative Committee to advance and improve the profession of Pharmacy. Charlie was also instrumental in getting the UNMC College of Pharmacy to allow my daughter Kim, to complete a rotation under my direction – so thankful he made that happen. Charlie – you will be missed dearly – RIP.

Wow! What do you say about your older brother at a time like this? Maybe I can add a bit of humor in this time of sadness. He put a black plastic spider in my bed (I have been traumatized for life when it comes to spiders). He took my favorite little kitty from the barn and threw it off the top of the windmill, saying “cats always land on their feet”, He threw my kitty in the tank and said “cats have nine lives” I guess so. But anyway those were just childhood memories. Recently I wrote him a letter from my heart…about all the memories of growing up, and thanking him for the things he did for me as we grew older and went to the city. We will all miss Charlie. But at this time, instead of crying, I like to smile about the memories I have, many beyond what I have shared here . Let us celebrate his life and who he was! Sending LOVE!

As a recent graduate, Dr. Krobot was one of the most influential and kind professors I ever had at UNMC. He always encouraged us during rough test weeks, and put a smile on our faces. His caring, and thoughtful personality will never be forgotten. He was an amazing teacher and mentor for all who had the honor of being in his classroom. When he retired we missed him so much! I am so sorry for your loss and send prayers to you all. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. He always had a smile ready and was willing to help. I will always remember how kind he was when I worked with him at the hospital and my sister was diagnosed with leukemia. He will be greatly missed by many!

So sorry to hear about Charles’ death. My favorite memories were the shared family dinners that rotated from Bud’s to Rosie’s to our house (Johanna’s) as the Krobot brother and sisters continued family connections. Such fond memories! I lost touch with Charles after he moved to Omaha but his passing touches my generation. Best wishes and sympathy to his wife and children.
