    Dearest Family,
What an empty spot in my life & heart without my big wonderful brother Charles. From my very beginning he was so prominent in my life as his baby sister & my adoring brother. He was almost 14 yrs old when I came along. Everything he did & accomplished put him as number one in my life. Star athlete & musician. ROTC man & a Air Force career & pilot. Most of all we remained close all these years. So many memories & stories to cherish. I will see him again in Heaven when Jesus calls me.
My love always to my two beautiful nieces Gretchen & Rachel . Oh how your dad loved his girls. My love & sympathy to his sweet caring wife Jean. & all the grandkids & great grands too. Plus his 2 adored dogs.
    Your Forever Loving Sister, Dixie

Rachel and Gretchen, I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with him at downtown Tretiaks years ago and I considered my best friend there. We got along great and I so appreciated his zest for life and sports and genuine interest in me and EVERYONE he met. Eternal Rest be upon . I’m sure he’s all signed up already for the Heavenly Tennis or baseball or basketball League up there or climbing around fixing and patching things up. Ooooops, I forgot, he’s no longer in Iowa BUT Heaven! Love ya my friend!i
