He went on to further his education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he pledged the Sigma Nu Fraternity and received a business administration degree. In the fall of 1967, he married Linda and together they had two sons, Brent and Bruce. Charley served in the army for two years during the Vietnam war and was stationed in Fort McPherson, Georgia.
In 1969 he returned to Bellevue where he began working in real estate development and property management. He was involved in the construction of apartments, strip malls, motels, and housing development partnerships in the surrounding metropolitan area.
In his free time, Charley loved golfing with friends, fishing in the Great Lakes, husker football games, spending summers boating in Okoboji, and most of all, an ice cold, filled to the brim, Miller Lite. Charley was an extraordinary man who always put his family first.

Charlie was a dear friend and classmate at Bellevue High School; we used to ride back and forth to Lincoln in our first year at the University of Nebraska along with Jim Morgan. I am just now hearing about his death. Rest in peace, old friend!
Sorry to read that Charles has passed away. I lived next door to Charles and Linda in Bellevue and was friends with their sone Bruce before I moved away in 1981. My condolences.
I knew Charlie and Linda while my husband Bill Henry (deceased) was stationed in Georgia. We enjoyed living next door to Linda and Charley. What a great adventure living next to them. He and Lnda were great neighbors.
