Charlotte M. Buse, age 74 of Omaha, NE died on May 28, 2018 after a courageous 12-year battle with cancer.  She died peacefully with family and precious dog, Sunshine, by her side.  Charlotte was born on November 6, 1943 in Geneva, NE.  She graduated from Duchesne College in Omaha with a degree in Elementary Education.  She married Richard Buse in 1965, and together they raised five children; they also have eight grandchildren.  Charlotte was a loving, caring wife and devoted mother.  Family was the most important thing in her life.

She is survived by husband, Richard Buse; daughters: Mary Carmen Novak, Cheryl Lechnowsky (Orest), Julie Sanford (Doug); sons, David Buse and Michael Buse (Jayme); eight grandchildren; sisters, Gertrude Schneider and Jo Nitsch; brother, Robert Schneider.  She was preceded in death by brother, Richard Schneider.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31st from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE & ROSARY at 7pm.  SERVICES Friday, June 1st, 11am, West Center Chapel to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific, for MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11:30am.  Interment, Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Siena/Francis House.

    I’ve been in Charlotte’s Monday night bridge group for the last 25 years. Great bridge player! Sure will miss her smiling face at the table. Condolences to Dick and all her wonderful family.

    Charlotte was always very kind to me. She welcomed me with open arms to family events and showed me what it was like to have a large, fun family. I hope we can all be as strong as she was.
