Christina Evelyn MacCurdy

Christina Evelyn MacCurdy

April 1, 2022 – April 15, 2022

Christina Evelyn MacCurdy was born on April 1, 2022.  God chose Christina to be the recipient of a rare genetic mutation that affects the development of the heart, lungs, and stomach in the womb. Christina’s lungs were unable to sustain her, and God took her home to be with Him on April 15, 2022.

Christina’s name means “Follower of Christ”. We chose that name for her because we wanted her to be a follower of Christ and her name was a reminder for that. Now, instead of it reminding Christina, her name is a reminder to the rest of us to be a “Follower of Christ.”

We are so thankful for the time we had with her; for the quiet strength God gave her through her short time here on earth; and for all the love, prayer, and support shown to our family.

We ask that instead of flowers for Christina, cash donations be given instead. All donations received will be used to purchase memory making materials for the Child Life Specialists at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE. It was such a blessing to be able to make special memory keepsakes before Christina’s home going and all materials must be donated to their organization. Donations can be sent to Temple Baptist Church, can be submitted on the church’s website, or can be sent to Josephine MacCurdy’s Venmo. Please designate donations for “Christina’s Memory”. Thank you for loving us and thank you for loving our beautiful baby girl. May God be glorified in her precious life.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 7pm at the West Center Chapel.  Christina will be buried in Montana with a family graveside service.

What a blessing you have been to so many in such a short time. Your race was a sprint. Mine is longer. Looking forward to seeing you again, when my race is over. Papa. Psalm 107:8
