Christopher Alan Briney, 49, was born on April 9, 1975, and died on October 30, 2024, of natural causes, in his home. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Swan; sister, Lara Geraghty; stepsister, Andrea Lara; stepbrother, Josh Langdon; three nieces and nephews; and his cat, Pateka.
Chris read fantasy novels, drank a lot of instant coffee with cream, and was a reliable hand to carry groceries or heavy loads. He would occasionally go on long walks and enjoyed playing Wordscapes for hours with his Mom. He lived a simple life without a television or phone. He smoked cigarettes and spent most of his time on benches with friends. He loved cats and was a quiet and gentle soul.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Community Alliance, in Chris’s name.
Please remember, as Bilbo Baggins says in Tolkien‘s The Lord of the Rings that “not all those who wander are lost.” Chris you will be missed.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 9, 2024, 1:00PM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha followed by Fellowship.
