You know how this breaks all of our hearts! However, Chris was an example of what it was to be a true fighter, and to always have faith and to never give up! He was a true example to the rest of us! Rest In Peace Chris! You fought the battle so valiantly and now you can just take a rest and look over the rest of us down here. How comforting to know we have that special saint praying for us and watching over us and giving us your special smile and love!
I remember Chris very well – seemed just like months ago we attended Prep and carpooled together! He was always in a good mood and a great person. It’s hard to find words that make sense or convey the thoughts and feelings at this time of grief. Just know Chris made an impact on numerous people and we will always remember him!
I lost my best friend to cancer in 1995 when he was only 25 years old. Chris was 49 and this is too young! I donate to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and encourage everyone to PLEASE donate to your favorite cancer foundation!
Our deepest condolences to your entire family!

Blessings to Chris and family.
Dana, Emma and Zoe – I can’t adequately express how much my friendship with Chris over the last couple of decades has meant to me. However, I can absolutely say how much each of you meant to him. During all of our road trips, he constantly shared how grateful he was for the love of his wife, and how proud he was of his daughters. I look forward to the day when I can make it back to Omaha and tell you some of the stories from our rides, face-to-face. May perpetual light shine on Chris, and may you all find comfort in your love for each other. TTT
I remember Chris growing up as we attended St. Roberts and Creighton Prep together. Although I was never close with Chris he always struck me as someone who had such a positive attitude and always had kind words for those around him. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family including Brian, I am so sorry for your loss!
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with at this time….

It is with great sadness we receive the news of Chris passing away. We offer our sincere condolences to you and to your family. We did not have a change to spend a lot of time with Chris but the time we did spend with him gave us a strong impression of a dedicated and loving husband and father.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Christopher, my cousin second grade. I met him the first time in 1975 aß a little boy during my first visit at aunt Antonie and Joe Engelberts house in Humphrey coming from Germany. I will pray for him and his family. To Joe, Judy, Kim and the entire Engelbert family touched by this loss; may you be lifted up and comforted by the warm embrace of your faith in this time. Your family has always been such a bright light, a shining example of how to walk in the love of Christ. May He and all of the heavenly host pour that love back down upon you now.

I am saddened to just now learn of Chris’ passing. I knew Chris from the professional association my company had with him at TD Ameritrade. We were half a continent apart, New York to Omaha, and to us he was always open, straightforward and, again, professional. On a personal level, he was smart, informed and clearheaded. Condolences to his family.
