Chris grew up with a house full of siblings on 48th Ave.  He attended St. Thomas More Grade School and Ryan High School.  A rambunctious kid, Chris found lots of trouble with his brothers, in school and out! His summers were spent at the family cabin where he found his passion for fishing. At an early age he started work in the auto salvage business where he found his second passion, “wrenching” on cars.  Although he humbly referred to himself as a “yard dog,” he had extensive knowledge of cars and parts.  He loved the classic cars like “Christine,” his 1994 Cadillac Deville, which he referred to as “loaded” but of course it also “needed a little work!”

Over the years the hard work took its toll on his body, but he was able to retire in recent years and spend as much time as he could on his first love, fishing. When he wasn’t able to get out of the house, he had his other pride and joy, his big screen TV and surround sound system!  500 channels, but he loved Animal Planet!

Chris had a rough exterior, but he also had a big heart. Even through his most difficult days, he was still able to find joy and gratitude for the little things in life because he knew Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior.  He is now pain-free and among our friends and family that have gone before us.  Brother Chris, you are loved and you will be greatly missed.

I’m so sad to hear he has died. I went to grade school with him. I moved away after seventh grade. When we had a reunion we tried to locate him to no avail. Yes, he was rambunctious. 😊 I thought he was fun! I remember him bringing a chicken foot to school and scared some of the girls. I thought it was cool. 🙂
I’m am thrilled to hear that he became born again, I too have. 😃 God bless you and comfort you!

I my Condolences to the Partusch Family! I also went to STM with Chris and lost touch with him when we went to High School but we did try to reconnect with him when we had a grade school reunion last year. Chris was one of a kind and very entertaining at school! Every day he had an agenda on his mind. After reading the accolades it sounds like he had a real passion for cars and fishing and that is Great he was able to retire early to enjoy the things he liked to do! I really wish the Class of 79 STM had the chance to see him one last time! Rest In Peace Chris

I’m so sorry. You all have a very tight knit family and you’re deserving of happier times.

My husband Alex Hernandez and father in law Gary Graham worked with Chris at the junkyard for years. Chris became family to us and treated my 4 year old daughter as a granddaughter. We loved him and just found out about his death. Condolences I wish I would have checked up on him sooner..
