Clayton W. Ivester

August 3, 1941 – September 15, 2023

Clayton W. Ivester, age 82, of Omaha, NE passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023 surrounded by his children.  He was born August 3, 1941, in Dover, DE and was the son of the late Lee Ivester and Marie Outen of Pennsville, NJ.  He was preceded in death by his brother Howard Outen.

Clay was a sheet metal worker by trade but his passion was drag racing and classic street rods.  He was lucky enough to be involved with several NHRA Top Fuel Dragster race teams over the years.  When he retired he moved back to Omaha to spend time with family.  He loved to show his classic car in car shows around the area.  Clay belonged to the Dunbar Street Cruisers Club based in Fremont, NE and the Midwest Street Rods in Omaha, NE.

Clayton was survived by his daughter Christine Ivester, son Robert Ivester (Erin), son Douglas Ivester, grandchildren Coltin, Nicholas, Jayce, Brandon and Tyler.

Celebration of Life: Tuesday, September 26, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at West Center Chapel

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Heart Association or the Nebraska Humane Society.
