Myra and family, We are sorry to learn of Gene’s passing away. I have known the Peterson family since attending country school and the Dunlap public school. We always enjoyed you and your family when living near you in Omaha and children attending the same school. Lots of old memories and it was always nice to see you in Dunlap in later years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Blessings to all the Peterson family. Marilynn and Frank Kostal
Myra, I was saddened to hear of Gene’s passing. He was a great guy coming from a great family. I’m sure you have great memories of your life during the many years of wedded bliss. Those memories will sustain you. I will be praying for you during this difficult time. You and your family have my sympathies. Your classmate,
Ronnie.
I will miss him greatly. I was so excited that he made it to Alabama for mom’s funeral a long with Charles, Jerry and Larry. Me and the girls made sure that they had cinnamon rolls and bologna and they loved it. Dad and his brothers enjoyed talking about when they were young and what they are doing now. I’m so glad Uncle Gene was part of that. He will be missed and I’m so sorry for your loss. We are keeping all of you in our prayers.
Knew “Poncho” from OPPD and the company softball league. Always had a smile and simply a good person. May he rest in peace.
I was so sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. I have such wonderful memories of him gathering mushrooms in the spring in the “timber” near our farm in Vermillion. And he was so nice to us younger cousins when we played ball games in the yard. Always fun, always had a smile, and always considerate. I know he’ll be missed dearly. Donna
Sincere sympathy to Myra and family; brothers and sisters. Gene was a neat cousin, fun to be around. We loved the Peterson picnics, such fond memories. Love to all, Ruth and Don Bennett.
