Survived by mother, Trisha A. Bates; father, Josef L. Bates; sister, Keira Bates; grandparents: Mickey and Cheryl Sodoro, Richard and Beth Healy, Debbie Myszkowski, and Jerry Bates; other relatives and many friends.
VISITATION: Monday, June 29th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, June 30th at 11am, St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 16701 “S” St. Interment, Mount Auburn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association. Cody was a student of mine in middle school and gave me something to smile about everyday. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so so sorry for your loss. My son Nate was a friend of Cody’s in school. I have a lot of great memories of Cody and Nate. Nate unfortunately died on a car accident in 2013 so I know your crushing grief. My heart is breaking for all of you. You are in my prayers.

Forever Life Changing! Heavenly Father I lift my nephew Cody up to you. You know his Heart and EVERYTHING. Father God i pray that you take good care of him Lord. Father God i pray that you help all of us who still haven’t understood WHY! Lord i believe in you and believe that you will turn our pain into a gain some how. Scripture says you make everything that was meant to hurt us is turned around for GOOD! As Long as we keep faith. Father God surround Momma Trisha, Sister Kiki, Grandma Mrs.Sunshine, Grandpa big mickey grandma Debbie and Dad Joey. Keep all there right hands in your hand and keep all negative thoughts n emotions away from them. Help them resist the devil so He can FLEE from them. Help them and us all Celebrate his arrival in Heaven WITH LOVE AND FAITH IN THE UP MOST HIGH GOD.

Im so sorry r.i.p nephew gone but never forgotten wish we could of been close
We are so sad about Cody’s loss. But we have a small bit of peace knowing that Cody, and our son Tyler, are now together again and in a good place. Our prayers are with all of Cody’s family and friends and hope we all can remember the great memories he has left us.
