Colleen Ann (Livingston) Penner

June 26, 1936 – March 4, 2022

Born in Omaha, NE on June 26, 1936; lived in the Omaha and Lincoln area for more than 80 years.  Married to Robert Joseph Penner, Sr. for more than 60 years until his death in 2015.  She is survived by two sisters and a brother.  Colleen’s legacy of family includes six children, thirteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: Monday, March 7th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, March 8th at 11am, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 5419 N. 114th St.  Interment, Calvary Cemetery, followed by luncheon back at the church.

Colleen Ann Livingston was born in Omaha, Nebraska to parents, Ken and Dolores Livingston. Colleen lived in the Omaha and Lincoln area for more than 80 years.  Her family included two sisters, Dodie Schaffart and Patty Mixan; and two brothers, Ken Livingston and Robert Livingston (deceased).

Colleen married Robert Joseph Penner Sr., spending over sixty years together until his death in 2015.  

Colleen’s legacy of family includes six children: Cathy McNeil (Michael), Joey Penner (deceased), Robert Joseph Penner Jr. (Sally, deceased and Dawn), Julie Mensen (Ron), Cheryl Negus (Jeff), and Terri Beckenhauer (Darryll); thirteen grandchildren: Michael McNeil Jr., Katie McNeil, Allison Klassen, Erin Penner, Sean Negus, Ryan Negus, Justin Negus, Scott Negus, Jenny Mensen, Ronnie Mensen Jr, Lindsey Mensen, Dustin Beckenhauer, and Luke Beckenhauer; twelve great-grandchildren: PJ Nagy, Raylan McNeil, Kaiden Root, Jaiden Root, Jayce Gardner, Camren Gardner, Ronnie Mensen III, Sky Mensen, Callie Mensen, Kaycie Negus, Alex Negus, and Hunter Negus .

Colleen’s interests included Baking, Gardening, Painting, Camping, Fishing and Boating.  Her faith was important to her; both Colleen and her husband Joe were EMEs and RCIA Facilitators.
