Colleen passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, at Papillion Manor, Papillion NE, surrounded by her family. Colleen was born to John William Schleisman and May (Borcherding) Schleisman on Feb. 22,1928. Her family lived one-half mile west of Lidderdale, IA for six years. The family moved to a family farm three miles southwest of Lake City, IA, where she attended Cottonwood school for four years. After her father died in 1937, the family moved back to Lidderdale where all the children attended Holy Family School. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1946. The next fall Colleen attended the Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines, IA and graduated in 1947. She worked at the Roosevelt Beauty Salon in Des Moines for two years.

On September 3,1949 she married Richard Charles Moore at St Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. To this union were born four children: Marc (Sonia) Moore, Armstrong IA., Paula (Dr. Bill) Barkman, Leawood, KS., Jon Moore, and Myron (Sherry) Moore, both of Omaha, NE.

Colleen worked in her beauty shop in Lidderdale for eleven years. In 1967 they moved to Sioux City, IA. In 1973 they moved to Kansas City, MO; and then in 1974 they moved to Omaha, NE and later retired. Colleen enjoyed her 13 grandchildren and 13 “greats” with activities, projects, and adventures.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific Street, Omaha, NE, on Friday, May 19, 2023, 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at noon. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
