Connor Michael Artz
October 26, 1999 – June 2, 2025
Connor Michael Artz was born October 26, 1999, in Omaha to Pat and Kathleen Artz. He passed away on June 2nd, 2025, from complications during a surgery in April of this year, but not before spreading a lot of joy and laughter, making a little mischief, experiencing love, and sharing time with true friends.
At each step of his too-brief years with us, Connor easily entertained his family and made many friends. He had a kind spirit. His hearty laugh cheered others. His willingness to try new things encouraged our own adventurous spirits. He wanted us to share his new-found joys, for us to learn what he was learning, for his friends and loved ones to be bold and curious themselves. He helped us to become better versions of ourselves simply by becoming part of our lives. He loved the French language and spent time learning in France. He had many interests, including sports, playing multiple musical instruments, skiing, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, and having time to joke or debate the meaning of life with enthusiastic partners. He did not waste his time!
Connor is a graduate of Holy Cross Grade School and Creighton Preparatory High School. He attended St Norbert College in Green Bay, Wisconsin before getting a degree in legal studies from Bellevue University. He worked as a Graduate Studies Advisor for Bellevue University and was taking classes toward the goal of becoming a Physical Therapist.
Connor is survived by his parents, Pat and Kathleen; siblings: Daniel (Laura Lindenstein) Artz, Erin (fiancé Nate Beacom) Artz and Clare Artz; many aunts, uncles and extended family and friends. His generous spirit and easy laugh will be missed by all.
As Connor would say in farewell, “Much love.”

Sending deepest condolences on behalf of my family to the beautiful Artz family for the unfathomable loss of such a special boy. I feel so privileged to have watched Connor grow over the past ten years or so since Dan and I started playing music together. He looked to be blossoming as a musician over the past 18 months and seemed to find such pure joy in playing with Dan. My heart breaks for your family and my heart breaks for Connor. I pray that he is resting easily and finding his peace. He will forever be in my head and heart — I will always remember Connor as a genuine soul full of love with a very very special spirit. Wishing you solace 💙

Even though I never met him, Connor has been heavy on my mind. His Aunt Eileen is very close with our family in Boise. I know the weight of his absence will be felt forever, and I hope that with time, the load will lighten. My most sincere and loving condolences to all of his family and friends 💗

I am just heartbroken for he Artz family. I had the honor of working with Connor and he was such a polite and kind soul always had a smile on his face and easy to talk with. Heaven has gained a very special Angel and your kindness and laughter will be missed. Rest easy my dear friend. Pat and Kathleen, I am so sorry for your loss and I pray you will soon find comfort in knowing what a great son you raised.
Pat,
I am so very sorry to hear of Connor’s passing. A life lost way too early. He was a very nice young man. He came down and visited my team in Scholarships and Grants often and was just about to join our team as a Scholarship Reviewer when he returned from his surgery. I’m sad that we’ll never get to see or work with him again. Please know my prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.
May eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I went to Prep with Connor, and throughout those four years, he was always kind and positive. Keeping the Artz family and all who were close to him in my prayers. Such a great guy gone too soon.
My heart goes out to your family. Sending love, hugs and many prayers for Comfort and healing 🙏🏼💙
I’m so sorry for your loss. Connor was always a fun/kind spirit to be around and he would always say HI in the morning when we crossed paths in the hallway. He was taken too soon, but he made such a great impression on many people’s lives while he was still here. I’m sending my prayers and thoughts to the Artz family.
I am so sorry to hear about Connor’s passing. I did not have the pleasure of knowing him but have heard Erin and Paulina speak of him. May you all find peace and strength in God’s love.
Kathy, Pat, and Family, our thoughts, prayers, and hearts have been with you throughout these past weeks, and they will continue to be, in the days ahead. With Love and deepest Sympathy, Natalie & Phillip Butterfield
I am deeply saddened by the loss of you son. May God be with your family.
Dear Pat, Kathleen and all of Artz family. We are sending our deepest condolences.
We remember Connor with his great smile and positivity. The time we spent together and especially the fishing trip in Norway are memories which we will carry in our hearts forever.
Love from Sonja and Per Inge
Pat, Kathleen, family and friends, I only knew Connor briefly, having worked with him as a student advisor for some of my students at Bellevue University. He was always bright, positive, enormously helpful, and quick to respond. Please know that while my interaction with Connor was short, he made an enduring impression. Warmest regards and deepest condolences. My wish now is for your peace.
