Curtis S. Coffey

Curtis S. Coffey

September 8, 1963 – May 2, 2025

Scott Coffey was born September 8th, 1963, in Omaha. He graduated from Burke High School and went on to study criminal justice at University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Curt loved Husker football, always jumping at the chance to catch a game at Memorial Stadium.

Curt was a loyal and wise friend and parent. He was always one to share a perfect piece of advice or an obscure fact that you’ll now never forget. His dry, witty banter will be truly missed. He was deeply committed to his family and so many lifelong friends, and we are all better for having known him.

Always a thrill seeker, Curt found freedom in his Harley, riding up to Sturgis many times over the years. He always had a new adventure planned and never missed an opportunity to do something new and interesting.

His kids will always remember how he embraced his inner nerd. Curt’s love of Batman and Star Wars were passed down to the next generation, and his famous Indiana Jones costume will never be forgotten.

Preceded in death by parents, Milt and Elizabeth Coffey, sister, Karen Coffey.

Survived by wife, Bridget; children: Kelsey Schorsch, Lacey Jones (David Bojanski), Matthew Coffey; grandchildren, Hank and Holden Bojanski; brother, Jeff Coffey (Suzie); nieces and nephews; loving dog, Boji.

We will miss Curt dearly, and we know he won’t soon be forgotten by any who knew him.

Sending my deepest heartfelt condolences for the passing of Curt. He had an energy and vigor for life and loved fully and wholly. He was a fixture in my family’s history since before I was born and he left us with incredibly happy memories of his laugh and infectious smile. May his memory be a blessing and may his soul rest in peace. With love, Joshua

You were a legend I never had the chance sadly to meet in person. Heart of gold and a will do, not can do attitude in life.

A true gentleman and thoughts are with all the family and friends over the pond from UK.

    RIP Curt.

Damn Curtis, had no idea that the last time I saw you would be the last time I saw you. You’ve always been a good friend to the family for 50+ years. Dad and I have a number of good memories of you. It was just the 50th anniversary of the 75 tornado and you always had a story about that.

My favorite saying of yours is “you can’t hurt me, I’m divorced”. Via con dios gringo.
