Carmel Cemetery Missouri Valley, Iowa (At A Later Date) HOLDING HANDS WITH ME God is everywhere we go, He’s ever at our side. Through every moment of our lives, He’s here our steps to guide. He’s with the birds in their flight, And with them in the trees. It’s He who guides the clouds above, And stirs the gentle breeze. He rules the land, the sky and sea, And brings the welcome rain. He makes the sun to shine above, The flowers to bloom again. He’s in the churches, in the schools, In every room and nook. He knows of all the things we do, And logs them in His book. If mortal man should reach the moon, Which it seems he’s bound to do. He’ll find that he is not alone, For God is up there too. Each one of us He put on earth, Each has a special role. And if we follow in His steps, We’ll reach our heavenly goal. His being here makes life good, For if perchance we fall. He’ll give us strength and comfort, If only we will call. When night time falls, the moon is high, And we’re all alone it seems. He’ll still be watching at our side, Be with us in our dreams. In every thought, in every deed, I’ll always upright be. Then when I die, He’ll be there, Holding hands with me. By Lee Stessman, 1960 Dale Duane Adams June 18, 1930~August 25, 2015 Loving Husband Father Grandfather Friend
