Dale was one of the neatest people I’ve known as was Jean. He was my dad’s (and mine) favorite fat cattle buyer of all that we dealt with through the years and I always looked forward to his visits at our feedlot and “in the neighborhood”. We lived just west of your folks on Cherokee and Dale and Jean always enjoyed it when we visited them with our two little daughter’s. The girls loved the attention and “treats” that Jean always offered.

We left Lexington in 1997 but stopped by and visited them several times when we went back to visit and always stopped and visited with Dale when we saw him walking which seemed like all the time! Dale had such an engaging smile and we had many wonderful conversations over the years about the cattle business and things in general.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know such a good man. Honesty, integrity, thoughtful, welcoming and it’s an honor to have known him.

Peggy and I are sorry for your loss.

My brother Wayne Krieg and I are so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. I hope he is joined by Aunt Jean. I remember when I was a young boy visiting you and Aunt Jean in Nebraska. I really enjoyed that trip with my parents and always had hoped to return. Although I hadn’t seen you in years, I always thought of you fondly. I am very sorry I didn’t get to visit again and hope you are at peace. It was a life well lived.
    Love, the Kriegs.
