July 31, 1947 – January 2, 2023

Born on July 31, 1947, in Anselmo, Nebraska to Earl and Erma Douglass (Pracht). Passed away on January 2, 2023.

Dana was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Earl and Erma Douglass; sister Joann Still; and infant sister, Dotty Kay.

Dana was a talented outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, he was passionate about raising and training horses.

He worked for Baldwin Piano, Allstate Insurance, and Wachovia Mortgage in his recent years but enjoyed his retirement, smoking BBQ for friends, and enjoyed cooking up a storm at the college world series and other fundraising events.

List of surviving family members include: son, Michael Douglass, and wife Diane of Grand Island; grandchildren, McKenzie, Katelyn & Tyler of Grand Island, NE.  daughter, Monica Fay of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren: Jacob Fay of Denver, CO; Lyndsy Fay of Ames, IA; and Dallas Lowell of Kansas City, KS; and granddaughter, Holland.  Along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Monday, January 9th, 1pm, followed by a social at the West Center Chapel.

    My sincere condolences to the family. Dana hired me at the Baldwin Music Center in August of 1981. I enjoyed all the time and knowledge he shared with me. He will be missed.

    We just found out about Dana’s passing and are very sorry for your loss. We live down the street, and enjoyed conversations with Dana amen we would see him.You are on our prayers.
