Danelle Marie (Vicario) Daubendiek, age 64, of Gretna, Nebraska, passed away on May 2, 2023, from complications of breast cancer.
Danelle was born on October 16, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Dante Vicario Sr. and Janet (Wilhelmy) Vicario. She was baptized, attended elementary school, and received First Holy Communion at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Omaha. She graduated from Westside High School in 1976. Danelle worked in business accounting at Butternut Coffee in Omaha, and Coca-Cola Company in Houston, and was an accounting manager for the Frozen Foods Department at ConAgra Foods in Omaha, where she met her husband, Randy Daubendiek.
Danelle and Randy were married on May 3, 1993, at St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The couple had one daughter, Jocelyn. She and Randy started a telecommunications business, Interactive Communications Systems, where Danelle was Co-Owner and Chief Financial Officer. Danelle’s pride and joy was her daughter, Jocelyn, who attends medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Danelle was preceded in death by her father, Dante Vicario Sr.; uncle, Jack Wilhelmy; and aunt Gwen Colony.
Danelle is survived by her husband of 30 years, Randy; daughter, Jocelyn; mother, Janet Vicario, siblings Dante Vicario Jr. and Philip Vicario (Cindy); mother-in-law, Verna Parde; sisters-in-law, Renee Wulf, and Rita Ortmeier (Roger); ten nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and beloved long-haired dachshund, Ruby.
Visitation: Sunday, May 7, 2023, 2:00 to 4:00 pm, with Vigil Service at 4:00 pm, all at West Center Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:30 am, St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1248 S 10th St, Omaha, NE. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.

So sorry to hear the news she died too young. I’m honored to have known her.
I’m so sorry to hear about Danelle. I attended 7th grade in Gretna where I met Danelle. We lost touch as I lived in Gretna only 1 year before moving back to Omaha. Obviously, she left an impression as I still remember her today. My condolences to all of her family and friends that have lost her in their life. In my memory she was a great friend and a special person.
