Daniel Petersen, 65, of Omaha, NE passed away in his sleep on March 26, 2018. Dan passed his witty sarcasm and general skepticism to his three boys, Jerome (36), Nick (34), and Paul (31). His late wife, Patricia, and his mother, Mary, are dancing with him right now. So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. Since we’ve been gone for so long I haven’t seen Dan since high school but still his passing makes me very sad. I know his absence will leave a hole in the lives of his sons, family, and friends but memories of him can go a long way to ease your sorrow. Now I wish I would have tried harder to keep in touch.

    Dear Jerome, Nick, and Paul,

I’m very saddened to learn that Dan died. He was a good man, and always great fun to be around. It’s comforting to believe that he is now a twinkling star holding closely another twinkling star called Patty. Love, Bibi

I am just finding that my buddy and friend has passed away.. lost contact with Dan when he was out at F.E Warren never thought this loud and wild guy would be gone at such a relatively young age. I remember him always making jokes at Woodlawn in Germany . I remember when I chopped my finger off and he looked at me and said “ are you gonna bleed all over the place? And here’s your finger …. Now , I have to fill out a damn report “ of course he said this in a way only Dan would say, with humor .

Of all the people in the after life I hope we can sit and have a beer again.

    Rest well,

    Jacques Barré
