Daniel Zaiser

Daniel Lee Zaiser, age 53, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Iowa. passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Daniel was born on September 10, 1962 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Lloyd and Alice (Byers) Zaiser. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Daniel worked at Cargill for 9 years as a Trainer for the Mill. He had just accepted a job for a Maintenance Trainer in Dalhart, Texas. He was the President of the Missouri Valley School Board. Daniel enjoyed farming, cattle, camping, family, weight lifting competitions, and Harleys. Daniel would always say “not bad” after a meal no matter what it tasted like, when Jordan would call he would answer saying “hey nerd”. He was always yelling “Jessie bake some cookies!”. He loved his cookies. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd and Alice Zaiser, sister Mary Kay Zaiser, and brother Thomas Zaiser. Survivors include his wife Kathy Zaiser, daughters: Jessica and Jordan Zaiser of Missouri Valley, Iowa, brothers: David Zaiser and late wife Michelle of Logan, Iowa, Gerald Zaiser and wife Sandi of Logan, Iowa, nephew Austin Zaiser of Logan, Iowa, aunt and uncle Lary and Joanne Gaver of Missouri Valley, Iowa, aunt: Ardell Jorgenson of Watertown, South Dakota. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Missouri Valley High School in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Following the Mass of Christian Burial, the family would like to invite everyone to a time of fellowship and lunch at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Missouri Valley.
