David Ho
August 31, 2000 – August 13, 2025
David Ho (24) of Lincoln, NE passed away August 13, 2025. David, affectionately named after the acclaimed children’s book “No, David!,” was born to Binh Van Ho and Thu Le Huynh in Des Moines, IA on August 31, 2000. He is survived by his parents Binh and Thu, oldest sister, Tina Nguyen, older brother, Phillip Nguyen, and younger brother, Alex Ho.
David graduated with the class of 2019 from Lincoln East High School, then attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a bachelor’s in criminology. After graduation, he completed training and graduated from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services academy and started his career in corrections at the Nebraska State Penitentiary.
Beyond his work, David was passionate about anime, WW2, spicy foods, being a contrarian, holding strong opinions, and sauces/condiments. While tragically, David did not have enough time with his family, he made sure to make the most of that precious time by doing exactly what he wanted in his free time. From playing D&D and video games with his friends, having fancy dinners at Chili’s with his family, to forcing everyone in his life to try spicy foods. Those in his life will cherish those memories of him forever.
While David left us far too soon, the impact he had in the lives of his family and loved ones will be felt for years to come. His mission was to finish writing a book, and his family and friends intend to continue his legacy with the goal of publishing his book.
To honor David’s memory, a service will be held at Heafey Hoffmann Dworak & Cutler on August 19th, 2025, at 9 a.m.
Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler, West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, Ne 68124. (402)-391-3900. www.heafeyheafey.com
