David J. Sanders
November 10, 1952 – July 30, 2024
Passed away in his sleep at his home on July 30, 2024.
Dave was a devout Christian and served in leadership roles at many of the churches he attended. He was an excellent Bible teacher and was known for his famous “Manly Nights” in which he invited men from the congregation to his house for homemade pizza (for which he was also famous), M&Ms and movies. Dave had a long and successful career at the Omaha World-Herald where he served as head of research, until he retired. He was active in the Omaha Kiwanis Club, the American Advertising Federation of Nebraska, and Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue. He was a man of high character who loved Jesus Christ and lived a quiet life of dignity, service, and faith. He will be greatly missed.
Survived by his brother, Philip Sanders of Omaha and niece, Cait Carson of Evergreen, Colorado.
Memorial Open House: Tuesday, August 13th from 3-5PM at Calvary Christian Church in Bellevue.
Private Interment: Voss Mohr Cemetery.

David was a true friend, a loyal employee of the Omaha World-Herald, and an outstanding man of faith. We will miss his presence with us at family and holiday gatherings, as well as his ongoing , priceless friendship. Marilyn and Robert Martin
