BRANNAN, David M., 68, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Omaha. David passed away Wednesday, Sep 30, 2009, in Tyler. He was born Aug 5, 1941, in Carroll, IA, to Leonard Michael and Grace (Cavanaugh) Brannan. David spent most of his formative years in Omaha, where he graduated from Creighton Preparatory School. He then went on to graduate from the College of Santa Fe with a B.S. in Business Administration. David was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint, TX, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid family man known for his thorough kindness, wry wit and willingness to help. He was a real estate professional working in and around the Tyler, Texas area. David was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Owen Brannan of Omaha. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 47 years, Anne Brannan of Tyler; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ursula Brannan; grandchildren, Jack Brannan and Maeve Brannan; sister, Ann Bell; brother, Phillip Brannan, all of Omaha; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Stanley and Kathleen Cohen of Villa Park, CA; sister-in-law, Patricia LaRandeau of Omaha; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Monte Jr. and Kim White of Plano, TX; brother-in-law, Robert White of Santa Fe, NM; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Roxanne Dozier of Tyler; sister-in-law, Joan Pieper of Carrolton; several nieces and nephews.
