David Parker Johnson

Oct 12, 1942 – Mar 8, 2018

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.  He was born in Camden, NJ and attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Stout.  He worked and retired after a 35-year career with Anderson Corp.—A.W., Bayport, MN.  He enjoyed water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming and he liked to travel to tropical places.

David was preceded in death by parents, Parker H. and Dawn Johnson; sister, Lois C. Kraft-Cavanaugh.  He is survived by wife, Cesarea Sonya Johnson; children: Bryan D. Johnson (Jill Vernon), Lorie A. Nielson (Scott), Ernest Plata (Kelly Cox), and Gary Plata; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was loved by his family, extended family, and friends and will be greatly missed.

VISITATION will begin at 11am on Tuesday, March 13th at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE and Time of Sharing at 12 noon. Memorials are suggested to ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association.

    I knew Dave while at the University of Wisconsin Stout. We were in the same fraternity Phi Sigma Epsilon and had many great times together.. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

    Jersey, just like his nickname, intelligent, humble is all walks of life. Am sure his afterlife is filled with the same traits. RIP, Dave
