Debra M. Lamb
August 3, 1955 – June 13, 2024
Debra “Deb” Marie Lamb was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on June 13th, 2024, at age 68, in Omaha, NE. She was born to George and Marie Owens on August 3rd, 1955, in Detroit, MI. She met her husband, Matt Lamb, and they were married in November of 1982. Together they moved to Omaha in 1983, where they had 2 children, Josh and Jessy.
Deb ran her own in-home daycare for nearly 30 years. She touched the lives of so many children and their parents with her compassionate and warm nature. There wasn’t much that Deb couldn’t do when she set her mind to it. She was creative and an exceptional DIY-er. She made all of her children’s Halloween costumes! Deb was a loving mother and wife. She gave her all to those she loved, especially her children.
Deb was passionate about her church community and had an incredible faith in the Lord. Deb loved gospel music and sharing her deep faith right up until her passing. Deb loved to laugh and was blessed with a green thumb. Her backyard was truly an oasis of color. She loved music, especially Journey -” Don’t Stop Believin!” Deb also enjoyed a well-made margarita from time to time, along with a good conversation.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, George and Marie Owens; her goldendoodle, Layla.
Deb is survived by her husband, Matt; son, Josh; daughter, Jessy; two grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all!

My sincere condolences to Deb’s family. All of our kids went to her daycare and we always felt SO lucky to have found her – she was great with the kids and loved them as her own. Sending our deepest sympathies.
Matt, my heartfelt sympathies to you and the whole family. I don’t recall ever meeting Debra, but she sounds like a wonderful woman. May you find peace in the knowledge that she is in a better place, and fondly remember all the great times you shared with her.
