Dolores J. Claussen

Dolores June Claussen, age 97, passed away August 26, 2024. She was born June 11, 1927, to Ernest and Viola (Kreft) Gray, in Omaha, Nebraska.Dolores grew up in Omaha, graduated from South High School, and began her work life, until meeting her future husband, Richard Claussen. They married on September 11, 1948. To that union were born two children Richard and Judy.
Her favorite role was being a mother and homemaker. She went to work at Norwest Bank after her children were grown, retiring after 10 years. She was very active volunteering at her church, Bethel Lutheran, for many years, and sang with the Sweet Adelines.
Preceded in death by husband, Richard “Tiny” Claussen; parents, Ernest Gray and Viola Nichol; brother, Kenneth Nichol; sister, Patricia Beatty.
Survived by son, Richard Claussen; daughter, Judy Zimmerman (Mike); sister, Kathleen Housman; grandson, Matt Zimmerman, Erick Claussen and Ryan Zimmerman; granddaughter, Amber Godsey (Gabe); great granddaughters, Taylor Claussen, Addy and Ivy Godsey; Goddaughter, Cheryl Raines.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 28th, from 5-7PM at West Center Chapel.
Funeral: Thursday, August 29th, 11AM at West Center Chapel.
Interment: Westlawn-Hillcrest.
Memorial are suggested to Bethel Lutheran Church.

So sorry to hear about Dolores passing away. You are all in my prayers and have my deepest sympathy.
I knew Dolores from the Bible Study at Brighton. She always had a cheerful smile and a word of encouragement. She loved her Jesus and I know she is with him today and one day we will meet there. Thank God for her life.
