My dearest Aunt Dee was my Godmother. Although life took me away from the Omaha area in the mid 1980’s, Aunt Dee was always in my thoughts. While growing up, she never forgot a birthday or a special occasion in my life. Christmas Eve celebrations were always special at Uncle Don’s and Aunt Dee’s house. Don chronicled many a family reunion with a Super 8 film camera and was jolly soul himself. The two made a wonderful couple and helped to make my childhood special. I will always remember them making it to my college graduation in 1981. When my future wife Valerie and I traveled back to Omaha in 1988 to see my Uncle Don in the hospital, Aunt Dee made Valerie feel like a genuine part of the family. Subsequent visits back to Omaha I always made time to see Aunt Dee and catch up on our lives. My heart will always have a special place for Aunt Dee.

Our prayers to David, Mary and the family,

Jim, Valerie, Andrew, Adrianna, and Samuel
