Deloris I. Dee Stueve, age 86, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her home. She was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on September 29, 1926, to the late Ben and Neva (Smithson) Purcell. Deloris graduated from Missouri Valley High School, and went to Iowa Western Community College for LPN Degree. She worked at Longview Nursing Home as an LPN for over thirty years, before retiring in July of 2004. Deloris took great pride taking care of others. She had a great love for family, friends, and her pets. She enjoyed working in the yard and trips to the casino. Survivors include her son: John Stueve and wife Patty of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren: Tina Stueve and fiancée John Walker, Tracy Stueve, Tim Stueve and wife Gina, great-grandchildren: Zach, Trevor, Derek, Dillon and Haley; brother: Bud Purcell and wife Mary of Omaha, Nebraska; sister: Eleanor Peterson and husband Dick of Omaha, Nebraska. Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sandy and son Jim. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
