Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Bernadine; stepmother, Ruth; ten brothers and sisters. Survived by wife, Pat Ortner; son, Chris (Brooke); grandchildren, Nora and Joel; brother, Richard (Madeline); nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 3rd from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL on Thursday, Jan. 4th at 10am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Drive. GRAVESIDE SERVICE on Thursday, 2pm, Omaha National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #1. Memorials will be directed by the family.

Sorry to here of your family’s loss. We were classmates back in the day in Breda at St. Bernard High School. Denny always seems to be able to inject humor in most situations. At one point you lived next door to to the son of a classmate, that was Tom Flynn. Tom’s mother, Deanna, and I always thought that was quite the coincidence.
So sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed reconnecting with Denny when you lived next to my son, Tom. Denny had such a great sense of humor.
