Gonna miss you Macaroon (aka Denny Reb). The Three Musketeers will no longer ride together on this earth. Thanks for all the memories and the friendship. Will surely miss my old Combat Engineer friend. Hope I see you latter at the big shooting range in the sky.

I remember as a kid going down into his and Aunt Aggie’s basement and seeing a caricature of him with “Rumbo” written on it. He really got me and my dad, Pat Connelly, into the sport of shooting and he would take us to the various ranges he belonged to around town to shoot any number of exotic pistols or rifles. I met up with him during one of his cowboy shoots in Western Iowa and had a great time watching the shooters there with my kids. He loved Subarus and the 2nd Amendment. He will never be forgotten.

We are going to miss you Denny. Every time we were around you, you brought us joy and laughter. I know you are already setting up matches up above.

I send my condolences upon learning of Dennis’s passing. When Dennis and his parents lived on Davenport Street and we lived on 26th Street, we played together in the early 1950’s. My dad, Ray Davis, and his dad worked together and were friends from the Sandhills of Nebraska. I have fond memories of our time playing together.
