Derrick Morgan Carlton
April 5, 1959 – December 3, 2020
Derrick was born April 5th, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to (the late) Byron and Karen Carlton and was the middle child of three. Derrick received a business degree from the University of Omaha at Nebraska and worked in the clothing industry as a buyer. Eventually he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he started his own business – “The Jacket Man”. He married Robin Reardon and they had two beautiful Daughters, Carolina Rose Carlton and Audrey Rose Carlton.
Derrick loved sports and was an avid Nebraska Huskers football fan, just like his Dad. He was also a cigar connoisseur and enjoyed cigar bars, especially with his close friends.
He was known for his special sense of humor, and had a loving and generous nature that drew people to him.
Derrick is survived by his two Daughters, Carolina and Audrey and their mother Robin; his Mother, Karen Carlton; Sister, Kimberly Carlton; Brother, Lance Carlton and Susan; Uncle, Gary and Jo; Aunts, Gayle, Marcia and Rick; Nieces and Nephews: Jake and Stacy, Nicole and Scott, Corey and Amy, Charles, Luke and Kaitlyn, Jael and Lucas, Zach and Claudia, Jayme and many Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2021, date is pending. In remembrance of Derrick’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations may be sent to 9317 Berry Street, Omaha, Ne 68127 or to Alcoholics Anonymous.

Our deepest sympathies to all of Derrick’s loved ones. We were fortunate enough to live next door to Derrick, Robin, and their precious girls for years and are so grateful for the time and memories we had with all of them.
