Diane Marie Ehrhart

Diane Marie Ehrhart

January 12, 1955-August 6, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Diane Marie Ehrhart, a cherished sister, aunt, and scholar. Diane peacefully left us after a short, courageous fight against cancer. Her life was a testament to resilience, love, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Diane, who never married, poured her heart and affection into her many nieces and nephews. A fervent historian, she delved into the depths of our family ancestry. She valued her recent hard-earned Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Administration as a symbol of her perseverance and passion for learning.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, George and Patricia Ehrhart; her dear sister, Pam Ehrhart; and nephew, John Plowman. Diane is survived by her brothers, David (Chris), Mark (Brenda), Kevin (Katy), and John (Peggy); as well as her sister, Sue Gillum (Bob). She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Wayne Plowman (Jeri); sister-in-law, Stephanie Anderson; and her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported Diane during her journey and request your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

VISITATION: Sunday, August 13th from 5Ppm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by a VIGIL SERVICE at 7:00p.m.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday August 14th at 10 a.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 6116 Dodge St, Omaha, NE.  Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Community Alliance.

We were all in shock to hear of our dear cousin, Diane’s, passing! She was always such a delight, with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She is in Heaven now, greeted by her incredible parents, sister, and many loving relatives and friends. Heaven has a new Angel now. Love and prayers, Rose

Diane was my neighbor for 20+ years. She liked to keep to herself, but she was always there with a friendly smile and wave, and she had beautiful flowerbeds she kept immaculate. Please accept my condolences for your loss…
