SOBCZYK, Dolores M (Ficenec) Feb 18, 1931 May 4, 2013 Also known as Dee, Aunt Fitzi, and MiMi. Preceded in death by husband, Daniel F. Survived by her children: Karen M. Griger (Bill), Patricia Fickes (Mike), Diane Steele (Jim), Dan Sobczyk (Becky), and Dave Sobczyk (Jolene); thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Gen Bosiljevac, Sister M Clarice Sobczyk OSF, Grace Sobczyk, and Claire Ann Sova; nieces and nephews. Dee graduated from South High in 1948. On October 17, 1953, she married Daniel F Sobczyk, her partner until his death in 1980. She sang in the Omaha Symphonic Chorus and held many positions for the Catholic Order of Foresters and Nebraska Fraternal Congress . Dee held various accounting positions, ending her career at Lutheran Family services in 2000. VISITATION begins Tuesday, May 7 at 4pm with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Wednesday, May 8, 10am West Center Chapel to St. Thomas More Catholic Church for MASS at 10:30am. Interment, St. Mary Cemetery.
