I met Dominic one time officially before work at the River One site and felt immediately like a brother. Amazing individual and someone I knew I could look up to and aim to work as well as. Never felt any hostility or disrespect. Extremely genuine and good heart it pains to know we lost too soon. All love and any help I can send to his loved ones. Thank you Dom for making an apprentice feel at home in this trade and world.
My sincere condolences go out to your family. My heart goes out to Archie, your Mom and Dad and your family…as well as all your friends, close and distant. We will never forget you Brother!
Nick was a great person. We worked together several times. The first being when he was an apprentice.
I’m so sorry to hear Nick has passed. He was kind, genuine, and an all-around wonderful person from the day I met him in third grade to the last time I ran into him in the neighborhood. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.
When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them but to live with the love they left behind. You have touched so many hearts in unspeakable ways. I know for sure that you will never be forgotten and never be unloved. You made my life wonderful and full of surprises. I can’t thank you enough for showing me what true love is.
I love you zillions toots!!!
Always your,
Audra Joy
God bless your soul and your family, brother. Every single person who knew you only had great things to say about your character. You were truly a real one.
I had the incredible privilege of meeting Dom and Archie in August this past year. I met up with Audra,,Kayden,Dom, Archie in Wisconsin Dells for a camping trip. It was an incredible time with nonstop laughs. My heart breaks for Audra,Archie and kayden. Because Dom has been a huge part of their life the past five years. And for Archie because no child should ever be without their father especially one as awesome as dom. I watched as he tried to make that camping trip so special to Archie. We all had a great time. Rest in peace my friend
I remember the first I met Dom was at the labor day parade I had my kids with me it was busy and he came to me and like brother go get the kids food and they can stay here with my kids so you don’t have to worry as I was a bit overwhelmed with a toddler and a 4 yr old they took a liking to him he made them laugh and also made me feel apart of a new family and ever since then when I would see him he would al6chexk to see how I was doing and how my kids where he was such a loving sincere individual that always showed love no matter what this one hit hard
I met Dominic in August 2021, not long ago. The connection I felt to him after just a few small jobs and a few beers was stronger than I would’ve guessed it could be.
Dominic was one of the nicest, sweetest men I’ve worked with, and I wish I’d known him better outside of considering how much his death has touched me. We were once tasked with hand welding Nelson studs and both spent a day kneeling on metal deck. The next day he came in with a little foam board to kneel on, and bought one for me as well. A small token, but it meant a lot to me and just displayed to me how good a person he was.
I wish I’d heard more stories. I wish we’d sucked more beers. Dom was an awesome guy, he went too soon in a really shitty way, and he will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Our sincere condolences to Dominic’s family and friends.
We’ve known Dominic for many years through scouts and he quickly became a family friend. He was a great father and adored his son Archie immensely. Dominic was the first person to offer his help and talents if needed. His passing leaves a gap in our lives and community and we will always remember him.
I am truly sorry, Dominic was a the friendliest person I met when work and would go out of his way to help a brother out. You will be missed and wish your family nothing but good thoughts and prayers.
What a great guy and friend sorry for your loss
John, I am saddened at your loss. Never having met your son, I read the above messages which truly point out what a fine man he was. You and your family are in my prayers. Larry Eklund also sends his condolences.
Known Nick since High School. He was my Brother.
Wrenching on cars, hunting, hill climbing Omaha (The Spot), and some cold drinks. He and I always bailed each other out of situations.
Much love to his family..
Very sorry for your loss. I worked with Nick as a Ironworker and really liked him. Nick was a great guy and great union member. We share your loss as he was one of our brothers. He will be missed by all of us. A man like Nick is hard to come by and I was very privileged to have known and worked with him. Again you have my condolences. God bless you in your grief. Rest in peace Nick, gone to soon
