Don W. Elliott
January 30, 1934 – April 1, 2020
Don is walking with Jesus at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; children: Jeff (Connie) Elliott, Suzanne (Brian) Csipkes and Chris (Brigit) Elliott; grandchildren: Justin (Stephanie) Elliott, Sarah (Chad) Purcell, Andrew (Autumn) Elliott, Collin (Keirstyn) Elliott, Alexandria Elliott, Peter (Devon) Elliott, Elizabeth (Thomas) Marino and Elliott Csipkes; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Max (Judy) Elliott; and sister, Ruth (Doug) Postlewait.
Don was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He touched many people’s lives through his successful engineering business, his time serving the City of Omaha as Director of Public Works, and his stron
g faith in God. As a couple Don and Shirley had great influence on many married couple’s lives. Don had a heart for ministering the Love of Jesus and influencing many businessmen in the community.
The family requests memorials to Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK.
Private funeral services will be held.

To Shirley and Family, With my deepest Sympathy to each of you on the loss of Don. I hope you will find comfort in remembering many wonderful times you all had together as a family. You may see Don in a sunset, or a butterfly that sits on your shoulder, or a Cardinal that lands on your window sill. There will be brighter days ahead. We are saddened but at the same time rejoice that our beloved mentor, friend, courageous and faithful servant of God, Don has gone home to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Don we mourn your loss, but thank God for the privilege of having been part of your life. Your legacy lives on in the many lives you touched through your prayers, full stance for Christ and your demonstration of love through your more than 63 years of marriage to Shirley. Oh, Shirley, our hearts are sadden for you as you say goodbye to Don. He was an amazing man of integrity who loved and served Jesus and others with all of his heart. May God comfort you in these days ahead.
May the precious Lord that Don and you served so faithfully, show Himself faithful to you in the days and years ahead, Shirley. May He wrap you in His loving arms and fill your heart with His perfect “shalom”.
