Don Wasson Sr.

January 30, 1938 – August 14, 2023

Don Wasson Sr., age 85, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Monday, August, 14, 2023. He was born to Edmun and Anna Wasson on January 30, 1938 in Holcomb, Missouri. He attended school in Risco, Missouri and was the fourth oldest of ten siblings.

Don was a business owner of 43 years and enjoyed the construction trade. He had his private pilots license and took joy in taking his family on vacations. Don enjoyed traveling and scuba diving and had been a member of the Tehama Temple Shriners since 1969. He and his wife, Jan had been married for 62 years and  they enjoyed their retirement home in Tucson, AZ for 13 years before returning back to Omaha in 2021 to be with family. He enjoyed spending his time with the loved ones around him and his greatest joy was his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Michele Mitchell (Dan) and Deano Wasson (Chris); grandchildren: Ben Wasson (girlfriend Jen), Bryce Wasson (Ally), Emma Mitchell; great-grandchild, Olivia Wasson; siblings: Charles Wasson (Pat) of Lake Wales, FL, Kay Williamson (Larry) of Swartz Creek, Ml; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Anna Wasson; siblings: Ed Gibson, Mina Lou
Riddle, Shirley Oliver, Mickey Wasson, June Parker, Bill Wasson, and Patty Wasson.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, August 25, 2023, 11:00AM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
