November 10, 1937 – January 20, 2023 

Donald Blancett Sr, 85, of Waterloo, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2023, in his home.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Blancett; daughter, Brenda George; granddaughter, Amber Condon.

He is survived by his children, Donald Blancett Jr., and Steven Blancett; grandchildren: Travis (Laura) Blancett, Justine (Joe) Carpenter, Amanda (Matt) Boganowski, Devan Blancett, and Kori Blancett; great-grandchildren: Liam, Aiden, Amelia, Kennedy, Landen, Ella, Katerina, and Beau.

Donald was born on November 10, 1937, in Estancia, New Mexico, to Dewey and Lorene Blancett. He graduated from El Monte High School in El Monte, California, in 1956. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1956 until 1964. During this time, he met the love of his life, Constance Logeman. They were married in 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska, and had three children together.

Donald was a hard worker, spending 31 years at Kellogg’s in Omaha, Nebraska as an electrician. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved taking care of his family. His biggest hobby was his enjoyment of music and singing karaoke. His favorite artist was Johnny Cash. He was a man of faith, and God was an essential part of his life. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate that he is at peace with his Heavenly Father.

VISITATION: Thursday, February 2nd, 5-7pm, at West Center Chapel. SERVICE: Friday, February 3rd, 1:30pm, at West Center Chapel.

Interment with Military Honors: Evergreen Memorial Park

    My condolences to the Blancett family for their loss. I would talk to Don,when I would run into him when I would go through the packing floor to the warehouse at Kelloggs.Don was a very nice person he would do anything for you if you needed help.He will surly be miss. God Bless you and your family in your time of loss.

    I will always remember Mr. Blancett for having a smile on his face and a joke to share. I have fond memories of fishing with Don and Steve and Mr. Blancett would clean the fish as fast as we could real them in. I have many great memories of the Blancett family. Until we all meet again God Bless.
