Donald Eugene Fey

March 11, 1932 – February 11, 2025

He is survived by his son, Mark (Leslie); grandchildren: Lisa (Adam) Eisenmenger, Chris Fey, Lindsey (Jake) Pollard, and Natalia Meier; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Adeline and Charlie Eisenmenger, Baylie, Mallorie, Camille and Jack Pollard; son- in -law, Douglas Meier, all of Omaha; and four nephews.

  Don was preceded in death by his wife, Dena Marie in 2023; his daughter, Deanna in 2010; his parents, John and Freda (Barge) Fey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Norma Fey, Alfred and Marlene Fey, Elizabeth and Herman Jager; and one niece.

Don was born and raised in the Emerson, NE area, graduating from high school in 1950. He entered the USAF during the Korean War and served in Japan working on communication equipment. He married Dena Marie Kalkofen on July 7, 1954, in Emerson, NE. He retired from NWB/US WEST in 1986. Don then became self-employed until 2005. He enjoyed his time volunteering at Boys Town and the Henry Doorly Zoo.

VIGIL SERVICE:  Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 6:00PM with VISITATION from 5:00-6:00PM, West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, March 28, 2025, 11:00AM, Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th St., Omaha.

INTERMENT:  Friday, March 28, 2025, 1:30PM, Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha.
