Donald Francis Larimer, II

March 9, 1944 – October 7, 2022

Don was born in Omaha and raised in Lincoln, NE. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he graduated as an Electric Engineer. Later, Don obtained an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He worked all his professional career at IBM as Senior Consulting System Engineer and at Mutual of Omaha, one of his main clients. Don sincerely believed in serving the community and volunteering; his favorite was assisting hundreds of immigrants in obtaining their U.S. citizenship. Don loved adventures in nature — he was an avid backpacker, camper, and cyclist. He was highly musical, a passionate listener of classical music who also played guitar, banjo, and would always pick the best songs on any jukebox.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Francis and Juen Larimer (Ward).
Survived by his wife, Maria S. Arbelaez ( Marisol); siblings: Peter Larimer (Nancy) of Lincoln, NE; Kimberly Critchfield of Fort Collins, CO; Leon Larimer of Pacific Grove, CA; and Ann Larimer of Lincoln, NE; children: Heather Larimer (Brian Naubert) of Portland, OR; Nicholas Larimer (Sara Bilandzija) of Altadena, CA; and Michael Larimer (Claire Peters) of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren: Lewis and Ned Illick of Portland, OR; Felix and Ivan Larimer of Altadena, CA; and Vera Larimer Peters of Los Angeles, CA.
