McCormick, Donald R., Jan 7, 1922 Jul 21, 2010. Omaha, NE; passed away peacefully while sharing favorite memories of travels and family. Don served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for United of Omaha for many years, retiring as Executive Vice-President and Director in 1987. He was a founding member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, was active in the Irish American Cultural Institute, and served on many boards. Don learned ardently how things worked and shared his design and building passions with his children. His love of and concern for his family carried it and many others through difficult times, and he will be most warmly remembered. He was preceded in death by wife Nadine and son Robbie; parents Vera and Richard; brothers Andrew and Francis, all of Pocahantas, IA; sister Mickey (Ivan) Smith of Galt, CA; and brother-in-law Bob Payne of Kansas City, MO. He is survived by twin sister Dorthy (Bill) Tate of Lodi, CA; Betty Payne of Kansas City, MO; and sister-in-law Viviette of Pocahantas, IA; sons Ken (Maxine), Keith (Barb), Tim (Jinnie), Kevin (Gina), and Dave (Lisa); and daughter Judy (Ken Flint); grandchildren Mellicca, Collin, Leben, James, Jillian, Megan, Devin, Kalin, Anna, Peter, Carina, Gavin, Kat, Stephen, Reenie, Ryan, Lindsay, Kelly, Wade, and Maddie; and 11 great-grandchildren. VISITATION begins Friday 4pm, with WAKE SERVICE at 7:30pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Saturday, 9:30am, West Center Chapel to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church for MASS at 10am. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church.
